About the role

Airport Consult is a specialist aviation engineering consultancy dedicated to Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) systems, delivering design solutions for civilian and defence airfields across Australia and overseas. We are looking for an electrical engineer to join the team and grow with the business.

What you will do

  • Design and document AGL systems including approach, PAPI, runway, taxiway and apron floodlighting
  • Participate in scoping, concept and detailed design phases
  • Conduct site inspections and support construction and commissioning activities
  • Engage with airports, contractors and consulting partners
  • Contribute to proposals and tender submissions

What you will bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in airfield lighting design
  • Knowledge of MOS 139, ICAO Annex 14, AS/NZS 3000 and related aviation and electrical standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities
  • Willingness to travel for site work
  • Australian citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance

Desirable

  • Chartered or certified professional status
  • AutoCAD, AGI32 or DIALux proficiency
  • Electrical distribution and control systems knowledge
